Re: Set Printing Defaults For All Users on a PC?

Jump to solution

We actually use direct IP printing instead of going through print servers.

I wound up using the first option you gave me

PLUS

on the General tab, Prefences, changed to 1-sided.

I then logged out and had a regular user log in and the defaults stayed.

Thanks!

2 options.

Install the driver from a print server and put your defaults in at the server level.

The other method is in CWIS, but it only works if the drivers are installed with full bi-directional support.

CWIS > Properties > Services > Printing > General

Set Printing Defaults For All Users on a PC?

Jump to solution
Product Name: Other - specify product in post

We recently starting rolling out Xerox multifunction devices (7845, 3655, etc.) in place of HP LaserJets.  I'm having a hard time setting certain default settings for all users of a PC.

PC's are configured to print directly to each Xerox using the latest Xerox Global PS Print Driver.

I am an admin and when I logged in to a PC and setup the driver, under Printing Preferences, I set 1-Sided printing and then Black and White Conversion.  I then logout.  Another user will log in and their printing preference go back to where they were.

Thoughts on how I can make the changes stay for any user who logs into that PC?

Thanks!!!
