Re: Setting up a B210 on a Mac with Big Sur

Hmm, it worked for me. I obtained the instructions from the dealer who sold me the printer.

Are you installing on a Mac with Big Sur?

Did you get the .pkg file from the MAC printer folder?

Re: Setting up a B210 on a Mac with Big Sur

I am struggling with this as well, but I don't see the option you have outlined in Steps 4 to 6.

  • Highlight your printer, but DO NOT press Add straight away
  • Above the Add button, you will see “USE” with a drop down box next to it. Drop the box down and select the Xerox driver - the 3rd one down under two versions of AirPrint
  • Once you have selected the Xerox driver, press add and return to the Xerox installer program to complete the install.

I don't see a Xerox driver to be selected, there are a bunch of HP, Epson and Zebra printers named there. How can I add this? Thank you!

Setting up a B210 on a Mac with Big Sur

Product Name: Xerox B210 Printer
Operating System: macOS 11 - Big Sur

This isn't a question, but I struggled to get my printer set up on my Mac. The Xerox instructions didn't seem very helpful. This is what I managed to figure out:

Setting up a B210 printer on a Mac with OS Big Sur

Installing the printer driver on a Mac

Do not follow the Xerox instructions.

Simply installing the driver results in the printer printing gobbledegook

 Instead:

  1. Download the Mac drivers from the following link:
    https://www.support.xerox.com/en-gb/product/xerox-b210-
    printer/content/146521
  2. Open the download, then open the MAC printer folder. Run the .pkg file
  3. When prompted to add a printer (this is the really important part)...press on the
Add button which will open the “add printer” box.
  4. Highlight your printer, but DO NOT press Add straight away
  5. Above the Add button, you will see “USE” with a drop down box next to it. Drop the box down and select the Xerox driver - the 3rd one down under two versions of AirPrint
  6. Once you have selected the Xerox driver, press add and return to the Xerox installer program to complete the install.

Setting up a network connection on a Mac

Do not follow the Xerox instructions involving the Easy Print Manager. Instead:

Download the WiFi Setting Utility for Mac OS 10.15 and Higher from this page

https://www.support.xerox.com/en-gb/product/xerox-b210-printer/downloads?platform=macOS10_15&languag...

Connecting to the printer web page

It took me a while to work out that the user name is the printer serial number

Hopefully this will save some heartache!
