Re: Settings on Print server (Win2012R2) are not "pushed" to clients

if your client is windows 10 , 1607 build, then yes, there are issues

see here :

http://forum.support.xerox.com/t5/Printing/Support-printing-defaults-windows-10-Server-2012-R2/td-p/...

if ts only the banner you want to disable, you can also disable it on the machne itself, and also turn on, dont override the printer driver setting

Re: Settings on Print server (Win2012R2) are not "pushed" to clients

Unfortunately it does not seem to work. Setting "No Banner Page" on both the places on the server does not set the same setting on the clients.

Just to specify... the settings on the server keeps the setting for no banner page... they simply does not go through to the clients. Even not when deleting and reinstalling drivers (by browsing the shared printers on the server).

Driver version is BTW 5496.700.0.0

Re: Settings on Print server (Win2012R2) are not "pushed" to clients

Hi Lars.

This is what Fabio is getting to.

Printing Preferences are local to the Server

1.GIF

Printing Defaults affect the client PC's

2.GIF

While the window looks  the same, it has different intents

Settings on Print server (Win2012R2) are not "pushed" to clients

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Installed a GPD on a Win2012R2 server. Said no banner, A4, No notifications (probably what everyone wants as defaut).

Printer shared and listed in AD.

Created a Gpo, and clients gets the driver correctly installed... but they get all the factory default instead of the ones I have set on the server.

How to push these to the clients so they get my home cooked defaults?

Regards, Lars.
