Re: Setup for restricted color copy & printing

I had a call on this, might be the same issue, dump a pdf into the webpage of the device that has color.

If it prints correct, someone changed the setting again.

EWS > Permissions > Roles > Printing User Roles

Edit > Application Permissions  > Setup and make sure they are allowed color

Setup for restricted color copy & printing

Product Name: VersaLink C405 Color Multifunction Printer
Operating System: Windows 7

Greetings; We have a C-405, and as originally set up it had unrestricted B&W copy/printing, and restricted color copy/printing via a password. This is a very small user group and network - two workstations. At some point a change was made, do not know what or how, and while a password is still required in order to process a color print job, the C405 only prints in B&W with no error messages. A service call was made to the vendor, and after a few days of them working on it , the issue was resolved. Didn't last, we are now back to all B&W printing.

I have admin access to the printer and web browser, but I cannot get it configured to do what it once did - password for color printing/copy. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Mike
