depends how you want your security
because if you open 515 and 9100 to the IP rannge of xerox machines
everyone on the visitor network can print to the xerox, if they know the ip
if thats allright, just open those ports to your ip range
if not possible, there are other solutions, we offer for example papercut to our customers, with embed on machines
that way you have a mobile print solution
send a mail with an attachment to an spefific printer mailbox, when the teacher walks to the the machine, then can collect the job
that way , you dont need to give access to the visitor network
if you want more info about this, we can make an offer for you
Do I need to create different port for all of these printer? (i got a lot of printer diserving about 10 000 computers, I have over 220 Xerox printers on this network) Is there an easy way? Please? (I like easy ways)
Ok, good, Now: I have a pretty wide network (it is a school board) with a lot of D95 and a lot of WorkCenters over a couple of schools...
How do i point out to the right printer? (let say for a teacher with is own pc on the visitor network)... All printer are pushed by GPO on the entreprise side.
yes, open up port 515 and 9100 to the entrprise netork, so they can print
Hi!
I ha to network here, one for the entreprise and another for visitors. I want computers on the visitors side to be able to print on a D95 machine that's inside the entreprise network...
Is it possible to do so? How?
