Being new here, I thought I'd better say hello ... Hello! :smileytongue:
And it won't surprise you to learn that I have a problem that I'd like some help and advice on. The problem is pretty easy to describe so here we go:
I have an HP Z800 Workstation running Windows XP 64-bit (SP2). This workstation has 12Gb of RAM and 1Tb of disk space so resources should not be and issue. I have connected it to a Xerox 7142 plotter via the local network (direct to the IP address of the plotter) I have downloaded and installed the 64 bit driver for the 7142 from the Xerox web site. What I need to ask is, why does it take over and hours to produce 1 A1 plot! :smileysurprised:
I've tried printing from both AutoCAD and Acrobat Reader (having created a PDF file from AutoCAD) and I get the dame problem. I have another workstation with the same configuration at that take just as long to plot as well, which leads me to the conclusion that the PC end may not be the problem.
Any Ideas? A virtual beer (or beverage of your choice) for any suggestions that improve my situation.
