I recently installed a new black toner cartridge in my Phaser 6280. It's an original Xerox high capacity toner cartridge. It appears to sit correctly in the cartridge slot; I've also tried to adjust it a couple of times, but as far as I can see there's nothing wrong with how it pops in. Unfortunately, after the new cartridge was installed, all prints come out with gray smudges along the right margin of the paper. I suppose these are left by the paper transport mechanism - there's two types of marks, one consists of a line of horizontal dots, the other of a fainter, fuzzier diagonal line. These smudges occur at regular intervals of a little over an inch between succesive smudges of the same type. The image below shows how it looks; the smudges looks quite faint here but are actually a whole lot more apparent when viewed in real life.
If anyone can advise me how to get rid of these smudges, I'd be very grateful.
