Thanks a lot for your reply, I understand that for one single job there is no automatic switching between output trays.

Actually, the printer will print overnight unattended and the output consists of hundreds of small jobs (one or two pages). Do you know if in that case, there is an automatic switch between output trays?

The printer does not support switching between output trays during the job. The printer will output to the tray that the print job was designated for.  If the output is sent to the finisher output tray, the printer will display a message that the tray is full once the capacity is reached.  The output will need to be removed from that tray before additional sheets will exit to that tray.

I would like to know if there is a possibility on this model to automatically switch from the finisher exit tray (650 sheets capacity) to the central tray (300 sheets capacity when finisher is installed) when the finisher is full, so as to benefit from the full 950 sheets exit capacity?
