Hello, Gabiene –
I am unable to find the actual lb weight of the paper anywhere in the printer settings. The tray has been set up with “lightweight glossy cardstock” as the indicated paper type. As soon as I select this as a paper type, the staple option immediately becomes greyed out in the print settings. I cannot even print one page with a staple through it. This is a new limitation for us, as we were able to print on this same type of paper with staples with our old printer, a Workcentre C70. I’m wondering if this is a setting we need to adjust somewhere, or if the finisher can’t handle firing staples through glossy paper and we purchase a different one.
Thanks.
Hello T-Dubs,
You may get some responses if you include the device's model number.
Howdy all. I'm having an issue and I'm not sure if it's happening as intended or not. I have a dedicated drawer which is set up with ligthweight glossy cardstock. I'd like to be able to print to this paper with a staple finish, but the option for stapling is greyed out if I choose this paper. If I choose plain paper, stapling is enabled and works agian. Is this a built in limitation which occurs on purpose? A xerox tech mentioned that updating the driver might be needed, so I updated to version 5639.300, but the issue is still occurring.
Thanks, all!
