I am printing to a DC242 with the light production finisher with C/Z fold using the Fiery EX260 Color Server PS driver v3017.102 on Mac 10.6.7. I have no trouble printing and stapling one set of a document, but when I try to print multiple copies and staple them (regardless of the originating application) it will print all of the sets, collate them correctly, and then staple all of the sets together with a single staple.

A print job consisting of several sets (copies) are stapled together as one set.
Unexpected outcome due to interactions of the application and the Fiery driver.
Applications such as MS Word have their own settings for collation in the print dialogue window.
This setting will not be applied to jobs printed to a Fiery Network Controller. Collated should not be selected in the Windows Print window.
The setting for collation must be applied at the driver level through the following method:
1. In the application select File, Print
2. Select the Fiery printer and click Properties
3. On the Fiery Printing tab, select Finishing
4. Set Collation to On.
Note: This can be made the Default setting by changing this setting in the "Printing Preferences" or "Document Defaults" of the virtual printer on the client PC or at a Windows server. In step 2 above, select "Printing Preferences" or "Document Defaults" instead of "Properties". If necessary uninstall and reinstall the printer/driver.
