Re: Stop printer from printing cover page.

Hello!  I also have the xerox b205 multifunction printer.  I've had it for years now and it just started printing cover pages a few weeks ago, I've no idea why.  I've run through the instructions given above to stop it, but when I get to Advanced, there is no option for "Job ID".  I am also using Windows 10. Please help!  The waste of paper is astonishing.

Re: Stop printer from printing cover page.

Log in as administrator and, believe it or not, make Internet Explorer your default browser. Then log in to your account. Use the name you saved as admin (mine is admin and it's case sensitive) and the last good password. You're in. Now you can make changes. This didn't work for me when Centreware opened in Chrome. Best of luck.

Re: Stop printer from printing cover page.

I found the solution. One must be logged in as administrator and open CentreWare in Internet Explorer (it never worked when Chrome was my default browser). When I made IE my default browser it worked. I logged in as "admin" (small letters) and used the last good password. Then I was able to stop printing banners, configurations sheets at startup and set power down after an hour.

That works but then I need to log in as Admin to do so. When I type in my password, it just keeps resetting the field.

Re: Stop printer from printing cover page.

Hi,

Go to printer driver, click on it>Manage>Printer Properties>Preferences>Advanced>Job ID (Disable Job ID) and also in Advanced tab go to Ptinting Defaults>Advanced> Job ID (Disable Job ID).

Stop printer from printing cover page.

Product Name: Xerox B205 Multifunction Printer
Operating System: Windows 10

My Xerox B205 keeps printing a cover page with every print job, and it's wasting a lot of paper and ink. I've found a few similar questions from others with different printers, but none of the advice given has been helpful with this printer.
