I had the same problem. The easiest way to disable configuration report printing at startup is to press the info button on the printer and then navigate system setup->machine setup->conf. page, then turn it off.
That worked for me, hope works for you too.
This doesn't work... I disable that, click apply, enter my admin credentials then it says: "Your Selections have been modified successfully."
... after I enter again on that page, it is still enabled and of course it still prints the page. I am wasting paper and tonner everytime I want to print something.
P.S. Tested with Chrome and Brave browsers on Windows.
Wasting a piece of paper every time I turn on a device is nonsense behavior, especially to have as a default and put behind multiple layers of software and services just to turn off. It's unethical from an environmental standpoint, and the user experience is so deliberately terrible that it's downright hostile.
Why - in 2022 - are printer manufacturers still designing interfaces out of the 1990s?
This is so complicated it is requesting another request sign in because my connection is not private???? and the printer continues printing pages of Configuration Report wasting ink and paper, I need to stop it, how is gonna pay for the ink and the paper more than 100 pages this is ridiculous
Please refer to the instuctions below, if you still need assistance after following these instruction I suggest calling into the support department at 1-800-821-2797.
Connected to the Printer Using a USB Cable
To enable or disable the banner page or startup page:
Note: Xerox Easy Print Manager is no longer supported for Mac OS 10.15 or above
Important: To perform the steps below, you must have a WiFi capable device such as a computer, smart phone, or tablet. This procedure uses a Microsoft Windows 10 PC as the WiFi capable device. Steps will vary depending on the device used.
Purchased a B210 printer to connect directly via USB port to my laptop. I do not want to network it so the Xerox-published solutions for accessing the IP address won't work. Server keeps timing out.
I want to disable the Configuration Report printing every time I turn it on. Wastes ink, paper, and is an annoying feature even for networked printers.
Xerox advertises this as a home-use printer and I can't be the only person who doesn't have a robust home printing network.
What is the manufacturer's solution to disable this feature using either printer settings or drivers I have from Xerox?
