Stray printing along the right edge of pages

I checked out in the Xerox shop but a transfer unit for my Phaser 6280 seems NOT to be available !!!

The only other impact on print quality would be the transfer unit. 

I am not sure how much print area you have but if you do more than a few paragraphs per page, you will get considerable less out of a cartridge. More info on Consumable Yields here.

I will buy another black toner (parasitic band is grey) and cross my fingers that this will resolve the issue.

The actual toner is a 7000 pages unit, but it's already my second cartridge... so very expensive prints !!!

Is there no other intervention I can try to do prior the replacement ?

Hello yvessr,

The only way to be sure is to have a Service Engineer to come out and check it. From the image I cannot tell if it is the black background that you are seeing or is a magenta.

are you sure ? Replacing a cartridge after a total of only 2155 pages will cost me a lot of money...

And what color to replace ???
