Re: Streaks on printout

Jump to solution

Now I tried again and found the second screw, it was hidden under a small plastic cover that pops off. After removing that I could remove the cleaner.

I cleaned it by carefully blowing compressed air at it from a distance. A lot of toner came out from inside so maybe it was somehow clogged.

After reassembly, at least the first prints look perfect.

Thanks for the good support

Thanks, No worries. I'll try that in a couple of hours. I'll get back with the result.

BTW, what might be the best way to clean the cleaner?

Thanks, I removed the transfer belt, but I did not understand how to get the cleaner off. Which screw is holding it in place, and how do I remove it?

I have included two pictures, I guess they will take a while to get through.IMG_0098.jpgIMG_0099.jpg

Your problem is from the transfer belt cleaner assembly (which is part of transfer belt assy). So, prior to replace the transfer unit, try to clean the belt cleaner, it is located on top of the belt and it have one screw.

Product Name: VersaLink C405 Color Multifunction Printer
Operating System: Windows 10 x64

We get streks on printout. Usually on the first page on a multi page printout, but not the following pages.

When I read here in the forums it seems like I need to change the transfer unit. Is that correct?

I tried to find what part number to use. Is it: 108R01122?

Could it be something else?
