The Retaining settings through the driver update ?.

Hello,

 

We have a Windows print server serving out about 6 different queues to Xerox printers (and 100 or so HP ones).  Xerox queues are all using different drivers.  I want to migrate all users to a new print server using the global print driver by putting a DNS alias in for the old print server name pointing to the new.

Now the problem I'm going to hit is that the minute each client upgrades it will lose its Secure Print passcode/accounting settings.  Is there any way to avoid this as if not every user is going to have to be guided through re-adding these settings manually which is less than ideal?
