Tiny bit of paper causing printer jam at the back of the printer after taking out tray 1

Product Name: VersaLink C400 Color Printer
Operating System: Windows 11

Having spent nearly six hours tryng to get my Versalink C400 printing again my daughter fixed it.

If you get a message saying there is a jam but you have checked multiple times and pulled out every bit of the printer try this. It might just do the trick.

Pull out tray 1 and look at the back. Use a torch and you might see the tiniest bit of white somewhere, which doesnt look quite right. I never saw it but my daughter did. I actually thought it was part of the machine and a small piece of white plastic. Use a pair of tweezers to remove carefully. Better to switch the machine off just in case.

It was corner of a piece of paper which I thought I'd got the whole piece when I removed from the back.

I didnt need to buy a new fuser, clean anything, look for dirt on a sensor, check wear and tear on the roller, pull out cartridges, check the toner or resort to a printer engineer. It did however cost me £20 as I bet 5  mins earlier she could'nt fix it. Very happy to lose that bet as it could have been alot more.

I hope that helps someone with a potentially similar problem :-)
