I have a Workcentre 6027 that is approx 4yrs old. I purchased aftermarket toner cartridges a couple yrs ago. The printer has been working fine until last week. I printed out a page fine, then went to print a second and there started a loud grinding noise. I finally figured out it was the teeth on the black toner cartridge. I reseated and it worked fine for one page then did it again. Could it be the after market cartridges doing this due to not being aligned properly? Would spending the $290 for a Xerox bundle of toner cartridges probably fix it? Thanks in advance for the advice.
Hello dburdette,
I searched the knowledgebase and I found this solution regarding noises in the device. If doesn't mention the print cartridge spedifically, however, that can be a common reason for grinding noises in other devices.
