Re: Toner leak

You will need a new drum, which is the source of your leak

Re: Toner leak

I contacted Xerox support, and they replaced the toner cartridge as defective. I have asked them if they will replace the drum as well, since it was heavily contaminated by the toner leak and is still leaving black marks. I am now trying to return the defective cartridge through the GWA program at https://www.xerox.com/gwa but our printer model isn't in the list yet.

Toner leak

Product Name: WorkCentre 3335/3345
Operating System: Not Applicable
It looks like the toner cartridge has leaked: there are heavy black bands on every printout, and it seems that there is toner on the drum as well. This is disappointing: we have only had the printer a few months and are still using the cartridge that came with it. Does anyone have an pointers to documentation about how to clean the printer out? I have looked in the documentation, but haven't found anything. Would any of this be covered under warranty? If not, this is the least economical printer on the planet. The supplies are all showing 99%, but replacing the toner and drum would be more than half what we paid for the printer.
