Re: Toner level reading incorrectly?

We had service look at this extensively.  Multiple parts were replaced, nothing fixed this.  Is anyone else experiencing this problem?  Has anyone had this problem solved?

Re: Toner level reading incorrectly?

We power our printer down each night and every morning, it reads 100% again.  I was suspecting that we need to have someone check a sensor.

Re: Toner level reading incorrectly?

Hi PNSTLinc,

Thank you for using the Support Forum. Well unfortunately we have not come up with a "self-replicating toner" though that is an interesting idea!  It sounds like you may have a problem with a sensor.  Have you tried powering off the printer and then turning it back on and checking the usage amounts again?  If that does not show a more accurate account I would suggest contacting your support centre for further assistance.

Thanks,

Toner level reading incorrectly?

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

We have a new 560 with a bustled Fiery.  We've done a farily large amount black printing on it so far.  Yesterday we received notice that we needed to replace the K2 cartridge.  It was reading empty and the other was reading 60-50% empty by the time we were done.

This morning both cartridges are reading 100%.  I know for a certainty they aren't 100% full unless Xerox has come up with self-replicating toner that I haven't heard about.  We need to know for a certainty what out toner levels are.  Is this something I need to call in a tech about?  Has anyone else seen this problem.  Is there a patch someplace that needs to be  applied/  Is it for the Fiery or the printer itself?
