Re: Toner won't stick well even with thickest paper setting. Can I print even slower?

That doesn't solve my problem. I'm only having the smudging with this specific type of paper, it's fine on other paper.

Is there a way to add custom paper thicknesses or use different drivers or firmware to unlock these settings? I know this isn't officially supported or recommended. It seems I've reached the limits of what this printer can do.

Toner won't stick well even with thickest paper setting. Can I print even slower?

Product Name: Xerox B215 Multifunction Printer
Operating System: Windows 10 x64

I'm printing on really smooth, thick paper. The toner still won't stick properly to the paper.

According to the manual, the heaviest paper type I can choose is "Thicker". This gives me the best results but the toner still doesn't stick well, there is visible ghosting as some toner remains on the drum.

I can also rub the toner off the paper with my finger.

It's clear that thicker paper settings give better results, because the printer slows down and applies more heat to attach the toner. But it's still not good enough.

Are there settings somewhere that let me define a custom paper type that's even thicker?
