Hello!
I have a ColorQube 8580 DN that refuses to print from tray 2. I can interchange paper trays from either 2, 3, or 4 with the same result: 100% jamming in tray 2, no jamming in trays 3 and 4. The tray 2 jam is always in the same spot: behind the front door A (at or just above the paper guide that flips up).
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Hello m_a_s,
I have found some steps you can try to fix the jamming issue on your device.
Cathy, thanks for your reply.
Respecfully, the problem is not dirty rollers or the suitability of the printer's location.
I have cleaned the retard rollers on all three trays (they all fail when put in the Tray 2 position and they all work flawlessly in either the Tray 3 or 4 position). I have even replaced the roller for the Pick Assembly (had a spare one as part of a maintenance kit) and ensured it is fully "up" in it's little recessed area.
Trays 1, 3, and 4 all work fine and the paper from Tray 2 never reaches the paper release blade.
The jam history log always shows fault code "89,108(A3M23)" when Tray 2 jams.
Bueller?....Bueller?..........Bueller?
Hello m_a_s,
I am sorry, I cannot find that fault code in any of the documentation. I would recommend contacting Support for more assistance: 1-800-821-2797
Sadly, I am not surprised. Typical Xerox---pay $$$$$$$$ for someone to come out to read the magic runes, consult the holy books, and recite the magic incantations.
I found the error codes in an 8580 service manual. I'm done here.
