Tray 4 Feeding multiple sheets at once

Got in contact with xerox support, figured out it was related to the feed rollers.

The lower one that prevents multiple sheets from being fed through on closer inspection has a broken/missing clutch so it just free spins.

@gabiene was right in thinking it was an issue with the feed rollors

Hi,

Take a better look on the feed head assy. Sometimes remains pieces of paper on it and they are not visible just looking from the upper side. You can take out the trays to look at the under side.

Also, please provide a fault code from Fault History.

Swapping them out didnt help, still jams right away

Not as of this issue starting but they are new as of 3-4 months ago, I do have a new set I can try though.

Last week I got a third hand report that one of our WorkCentre 7855's were jamming due to pulling multible sheets through at a time, I went to troubleshoot and after printing 50 sheets to tray 3 and 50 to tray 4 (I didn't get much information about the jam) without any issues I passed it off as a one time issue with an unknown cause.

This morning I get a report that it had jammed and the user coulnd't clear it so I went over to take a look, It was jammed in tray 4 with a nice stack of what paper was remaining in the tray.

after fighting it for a bit I finally got it free and it looked to be about 30-50 pages worth.

It's now pulling multiple sheets every time there is more then one in the tray, it's just plain white 8.5"x11" (letter) paper nothing special, tray guides also look to be adjusted correctly.

Any Idea what could be causing this?
