USB device key error

for me i lost the USB device wich came with the printer

is it that the problem , reinstall the printer using that USB device  ?

where to get that USB device

Enabling PostScript printing, doesn't have any effect of the USB Printing, Unless the Job's you are trying to print are Postscripts. So, in a way Enabling PostScript would enable Postscript printing from USB.

is it necessary to enable postscript to enable USB because till I have not enable postscript.

Sorry for the delayed responce.

Its sounding more like a hardware issue, If you have checked with multiply USB keys. I would suggest you to call your support for them to take a closer look.

Thanks for the solution. this is the same thing i did but everytime printer restart. USB get disable.

This is the USB configuration walk through, I don't know if you are the one administrating the device or not, In the guide it shows you how to access the device through the Web Browser. Maybe its something that you might be missing is located here.

Configuring USB Settings

1. In the Embedded Web Server, log in as administrator, then click Connectivity.

2. In the Connections area, click USB.

3. Enable a port.

• To enable USB communication on all USB ports, click the Enable toggle button.

• To enable the target USB port on the back of the printer, click the USB Port toggle button.

Note: To use the target USB port on the back of the printer, click both the Enable toggle

button and the USB Port toggle button.

1. To enable Printer Job Language, click the PJL toggle button.

2. Click Print Mode, then select a mode.

3. For Auto Job Timeout, type the amount of time in seconds that the printer waits inactive before

canceling the print job.

4. Click Adobe Communication Protocol, then select a protocol.

Actually Problem is every time I restart printer it's shows and error "this printer was installed without USB Device key. Locate the key or contact Supplier" Then shows error "Courtesy pages remaining before device becomes unusable and number of pages remaining"

I have located USB device key from Xerox under the tray but problem is every time I have enable USB from GUI printer restart and USB get disable due to which I am unable to initialize printer with USB Device key.

Please suggest some solution

Is this happening with all USB keys that you are trying to printer from ?

Plus, you have to make sure that the USB keys are formatted in FAT32.

If you have the Users manual, goto roughly page 113 there is some information there.

Everytime i re-start printer it's unable to detect usb device key and say installed without USB device key shows number of pages remaining.

Please help
