Hi jmg999,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. I see no one has responded to this post yet. So, at this point I would recommend contacting your local Xerox Support Department to speak with a Product Specialist for more assistance. Please call 1-800-821-2797 or 1-800-835-6100.
I have a Workcentre 6515n, and I'm working on a Windows 10 x64 laptop. I purchased some RediTag Laser Printable Index Tabs similar to these. They're labels that you can print to and attach to documents. The website I linked to also has templates for the various labels they sell. I purchased a particular version and downloaded the template for it. I loaded it up in Word, and I added text to the labels. The problem came in printing these labels.
The sheet that the labels are on are 8.5"w x 7.25"l. I wasn't sure which direction they should go into the printer, so I tested this out on a piece of paper. What I realized was that it printed only on the portion of the paper that matched the size of the label sheet. Therefore, I put the label sheet in the 8.5"x11" tray, and I printed to it.
The sheet got stuck in the printer, and when I pulled it out, a row of the labels was missing. Apparently, the heat from the printer melted the adhesive, and some of the labels got stuck in the printer. This wasn't a huge deal, b/c I was able to get them out, but it didn't solve my printing issue. I tried using the bypass tray, but I couldn't get the printer to run. I tried setting it up as a custom size, which worked fine in the software, but the printer wouldn't recognize that, as it only accepted standard sizes.
I'm not certain what to do at this point. I looked online, but I couldn't find any instructions for doing this. Does anyone have any thoughts on how I can print to these labels? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
