I am using the driver from Xerox.com and I was using IPP. However, after changing the IPP to LPD it worked very well.
Are you using the Apple supplied driver or did you get it from Xerox.com?
Are you using IPP or have you set it up by LPD (preferred)?
Your issue appears to be with CUPs and IPP, so switching to LPD, or even HP Jet Direct (Equivalent to RAW on a PC) would resolve the matter. The cause of the issue would have to be an Apple update, but I have not as yet seen any other reports of one recently.
Unless you are comfortable navigating CUPS, you won't be able to modify the printer connection, you will have to remove and then reinstall the printer again, just make sure you don't pick the printer from the discovered list (IPP) and don't let it get added with "Generic PS" or "Airprint" in the Print using fields
I am unable to use the printer and I always get the message "Unable to add document to print job" although I have downloaded the latest software and drivers from the website. Please help?
