did this but it doesnt help me. my error message is this "x" driver cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer. It is from Xerox of course [the driver]
Could you help with this?
Assuming you plug a printer in prior to introducing the drivers, Windows might endeavor to introduce it even without working drivers. Experiencing the same thing, the framework won't change to the right drivers regardless of whether you introduce them later. To fix this blunder, press "Windows-X" and snap "Gadget Manager" to open Device Manager first. Just like epson printer having thats types of issue when I am goint to print the document or scane any type of copy.
How can I get the 6130n driver to work on Monterey 12.3.1?

This tip done the trick.
I really appreciate you shared the tip :)
Hi FrankNCT,
I have run into the problem that you're describing and reproduced it on a number of systems. This came up for a major customer of ours and my coworker will be escalating this to Xerox. There appears to be an issue with the current macOS driver package that prevents installation of the driver package, if a previous package was installed on the system. Here's what fixes this for us.
Open Terminal and run the following command
sudo pkgutil --forget com.xerox.drivers.pkg
After entering your password and executing the command you should be able to succesfully run the installer. I have validated this on both macOS 11 and 12.
I called Xerox Tech Support and they walked me through the fix. Apparently, the installation program wants to install the airprint version of the print driver (at least with my Versalink C9000) and that driver does not have all the features that were shown in the user guide for the machine. Deleting your current driver is easy, on MacOS just go to System Preferences, Printers & Scanners, find your printer in the list, click on it so that it is highlighted, then click the minus button at the bottom of the window, that will delete the installed driver. At that point the Xerox installation program should now allow you to complete but that dosen't mean it will install the proper driver. Tech support had me reinstall by clicking on the plus button, putting in the i.p. address of the machine, then selecting hpjetdirect socket, then selecting my machine. Once that was done, all my problems cleared up, now I can put in custom papersizes, print duplex postcards, have all booklet options, and the print menus now match the Xerox user guide instructions. I suggest your print the configuration page for the machine, call tech support at 1-800-821-2797, have your serial number and ip address ready, and they will confirm proper installation.
Thank you for your respond.
I have found a way to these PPD driver, where it finds the printer as Xerox Altalink C8145 but when it comes to special finishing such as booklet this option is not available.
Do you know if it is possible to delete the PPD driver and then install the Xerox driver from the image file?
I have the same issue, although i'm not sure this is correct, I believe the reason is the current driver version is already installed, I went to Terminal, then "cd /etc/private/etc/cups/ppd", then "ls". This produced a listing of the ppd drivers installed on my system and the Xerox_whatever-model-you-have.ppd is already there. I opened the file with a text editor and checked the version number and it matches the current version the of the installer program. If you do this, don't save the file when you close the text editor, you don't want to accidently modify it.
Hi,
I have now run into this issue a couple of times when I want to install the Xerox driver on OSX Monterey.
When I start the installation and comes to the part where I need to choose the Standard install on "Macintosh HD", the install button is all greyed out, and if I click on the button "Change Install Location.." I can't choose any other drive than the Macintosh HD.
I am permently stocked. Anyone who knows what to do?
Kind regards
Frank
