Hi, fma!
Have you tried adding the printer manually?
If not, try doing as following :
Firstly, remove the printer if it's already installed.
1. Choose System Preferences -> Print and Fax.
2. Press the plus (+) sign.
3. Press the “Ip” Tab and write down the correct information for the printer.
Protocol
You can use more protocols than this though these could be turned off and will need to be
activated in CWIS, LDP is the standard protocol.
Address
The IP-address for the printer should be here...
Queue
Because LPD is built on a queue-system, this should always be entered.
Standard on a Xerox printer is “lp”. (LP)
Name
Optional name on printer.
Location
Optional Information on where the printer is located.
Print Using
Here you should choose the Xerox WorkCentre 4250 PCL driver.
You can also try removing the printing scout application by doing as following:
The equivalence to “Bi-directional communication” on the MAC is an application called
“Printing Scout”.
This program is included in the driver package.
To uninstall this program, start the “Finder” and go to Applications -> Xerox -> Printing
Scout.
Take the whole catalogue and slide it over to the Trash bin, right click and select “Empty
Trash”. After this you will need to restart your MAC.

Hi everyone,
I want to print with a Workcenter 4250 printer from Mac Os 10.9.5 and It doesn't work at all.
Lastest drivers have been installed and configures but when I want to print i've got the following error : Printer in use and no paper available where as the 4 paper trays are full ...
Anyone have a idea why it doesn't work ?
I print also on a phaser 3600 printer, I can print but I have always no paper available warning again.
Xerox drivers for mac os have an issue ?
Thanks in advance for your answers
Best regards
