Unfortunately when I call that number and provide the serial number of our machine eight different times on the ridiculous phone prompts and wait to speak with a representatives at the business service center... they tell me there's no "service agreement" and they can't help me. So calling Xerox is no help. That's why I ended up posting here. I don't know what else to do short of junking the machine and going with a Ricoh.
Sounds like you have tried everything already, so it would be a software escalation please call 1-800-821-2797 to speak with an analyst.
We've got a Xerox AltaLink C8030 Multifunction unit at our office and we are getting more associates who have MacOS computers. Although the printing via account code has always manged to work properly on the Windows-based machines, we've never once been able to get it to work properly on any of the MacOS systems.
I have downloaded the appropriate driver package from the Xerox support page and installed it, I've tried printing a document via the Xerox Print "Experience" app. But I cannot seem to figure out a way to get anything to print properly. The printer system options in the System Prefences section offers very little in terms of options.
The closest idea I can come is when I'm printing a PDF, there's a dropdown setting in the print dialogue box menu where you can select "AccountID & PIN Printing" ... the problem is that when you check the box beside "Print with Account ID:" and then type in your pin code beside it and hit print... the printer will print, but it only prints an ERROR NOTICE that says "The print job was deleted because invalid accounting codes were entered or accounting codes were missing."
I've tried unchecking that box, and checking the other box which is "Print with PIN:" but when I do that box and hit print, NOTHING HAPPENS.
So I tried checking BOX boxes and putting in my code in BOTH places... and nothing happens.
I don't know what to do. Can anyone help? None of our people running MacOS can print to this printer!
