Unknown USB Device - Device Descriptor Request Failed

Thanks for the reply and recommendations.  Unfortunately, the installation disc can't find the printer and the printer can't seem to connect with the drivers.  I've tried a number of different ways, to no avail.  I've also tried all three of my USB ports and end up with the same "Device Descriptor Request Failed" message.  It's very frustrating and I'm afraid I may have to buy another laserjet printer.  The sad thing is that this Xerox printer is not that old.  Anyway, I appreciate your help.

Did you download the driver from the Xerox Website? Here are the steps to install the driver.  If after this you are still having issues, here are some other things you can try.

I recently purchased a new HP laptop to replace my fried Dell laptop.  When I try to connect my Xerox Phaser 3260 printer, I get the following error message.....Unknown USB Device - Device Descriptor Request Failed.  Any help you can give me is appreciated.
