Re: Using Document Centre 340 with Windows 7

Thanks for the reply.   I just installed it on one of the new windows 7 computers connected to our network.  the other networked computers (running XP) can print just fine.

Re: Using Document Centre 340 with Windows 7

how did you setup the global driver? did you install it on a TCP IP port? then it should work in basic mode....

when installed, turn off bidirectional communication in the driver, it wont work anyway

Using Document Centre 340 with Windows 7

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Our wonderful Xerox printer has been purring along for years.  It remains our workhourse go-to printer.  Unfortunately, We recently had to upgrade some workstations to Windows 7 and now, we can't find a print driver that works with windows 7.

i did find your global print driver and installed.  The printer does appear on under "printers and faxes"  but has an error:  "cannot be contacted over the network".  I installed using the subnet mask and default gateway listed under the TCP/IP section of the printers configuration report.

What am I missing?

Thanks for the guidance.  I would hate to loos this printer.
