Recently our Docucolor 5000 Creo system had a wipe and reinstall of the operating system. The Mac used by our graphic specialist with Darwin 6.5 Creo Variable data and dongle no longer operate correctly. If we use it the same way we always have it sends the data garbled and the format creates cut off images. My question is can anyone shed light on how we might fix this problem.. We have considered a reinstall of Darwin 6.5 but can not find any real reason why that would help. Are we overlooking some setting etc...??
Does your machine print a startup page or configuration page when you first turn it on? If so, do you have a copy of that page from before the Operating System reinstall? If you do have this page, you should check it with a current, post reinstall, page to see if there are any differences in the settings within the machine.
Thank You for followup response. I do not have a startup page from the old install. Our machine does not print a start page per say. You can print various reports and setting parameters on demand. I have Xerox service reviewing a fix for us its at level 2 currently with Log# xxxxxx715. I hope to hear from someone shortly.
I'm glad to hear that you are working with 2nd level. They should be able to resolve the issue with you and get you back on track. Thank you for posting and please visit the Support Community again soon!
