You can call into the support center @ 1-800-821-2797, they will be able to assist you with resetting the admin password.
how do i contact an authorized Xerox service person? i just bought this printer a couple days ago and i'm locked out without any admin password. the 1111 didn't work and neither did the serial number. help.
If you tried using the machine serial number as the password be sure to enter any letters in all caps. I didn't see that mentioned in the previous response. If the password has been changed and it can't be determined than there are 2 ways to reset it back to the factory default. For either method you'll need the support of a Xerox service person. When reset the admin password will either revert to 1111 or the serial number, that depends on what version of system software is on the machine currently.
- Reset Admin Password (Remote): Contact an authorized Xerox service person and they can generate a file with a code that will reset the admin password back to the factory default when its submitted to the machine. They'll need the device serial number and the current total meter reading to generate the code and subsequent file.
- Reset Admin Password (Locally via service mode): A factory initialization can be performed on the device in service mode which will erase call configured settings, the admin password included. Option 1 is definitely preferable if you have configured many services on the device already.
power down / power up machine
after 3 times , the machine is indeed locked, once you get in with the default password 1111 , you can change it to unlimited tries

I was trying to login as an Admin, but I failed recalling/guessing the password now it says: "Failed login attempt limit has been reached. Access denied."
