I have a brand new C7020, except for Copy, all other jobs fail/canceled immediatly.
If I try a test page it fails, and th elog shows Canceled, if I try scan to SMB it fails and cancels. I installed latest software yesterday but still same problem.
Anyone have an idea what can cause this?
It's user permissions (print) and login failures (scan)
Of course that is pure conjecture since you gave no faults, which you have to go to the printer to get via the Jobs app on the device where you can touch the job to get the failure, which is probably going to be an invalid user ID for the print and a Login failure for the scan.
They will certainly not be related failures, because you can't initiate a scan to get to a failure point if your Xerox Standard Accounting ID isn't valid, but you can certainly send a print with fake information,it just won't print, as you see here.
I don't have accounting enabled at all.
Under Permissions > Accouning Method I have "No Accounting - There are no Limits to the number of prints or scans"
Under Permissions > Roles > Device User Roles I have Access All for Basic User, Everything except Setup
Under Permissions > Guest > I have Access All, user can access all funtions
When looking on the Jobs (via web interface) this is what shown, do you still think its permissions?
Faults are only displayed on the copier. My guess is that you have a PS driver and no PS interpreter in the printer (It's a paid option), in which switching to PCL driver would fix it.
Thank you Joe, the PCL driver now allows me to print :)
still stuck with the scan to folder or email though. will try with a local user. thanks for your help.
I must say I was way more impressed with the Workcentre series than this one.
