Versalink C405 - CShow Error

Hello Joe, I've been wondering if you can help me as well - is there a driver for versalink c8000dt as when I install the driver you suggested, this printer is not on the ''configuration'' drop down menu and instead it selects basic printing mode which only prints in black and white. Hope that makes sense :)

Go back to my post and install the driver I linked in the paragraph before the picture and make the changes to it as shown in the picture

Hi Joe, thank you for your help. I'm assuming it's because we're using different versions, however, I do not have the options you're advising. See the screenshot attached.

I would guess that fonts are the issue, but the fix will change dependant on the driver you use, and with Windows 10 there are many.

There is the Xerox Class driver provided by Microsoft with Windows 10 (I highly advise against it)

There is the Xerox provided v4 driver, which needs the Xerox print Experience app to function properly and work well (I would not recommend this one either as it has less features)

I would suggest you install and use the Xerox Global Print driver PS, which you can grab here.

Once installed, go to Start > Control Panel > Devices and Printers.

Right-click the printer and choose Printing Preferences and select the Advanced tab

Expand Driver and change the True type font option dropdown to Download as Soft font

Click Apply > OK

I believe that should probably solve the matter, if not, I would need to know if it happens in a particular application or file-type, and what drivers are failing.

I purchased a Versalink C405 about a month ago for my business and every time I print anything slightly abnormal (for instance, a menu, contract) I am receiving a printed error:

ERROR: undefinedresult
OFFENDING COMMAND: cshow

OPERAND STACK:

--nostringval--

I've searched this through Google & these forums and found no such fix. I've uninstalled & re-installed the printer. I am using a HP laptop running Windows 10, I also have this printer on 2x Apple MacBooks which print everything fine.
