I am new to using Xerox printers. I have one xerox versalink c8000 color printer set up in an OFFLINE lab. It is connected to computers via USB. I recently had to install the printer driver on another computer so I downloaded the same one that was installed on a previously, known working computer which was the PCL 6 V4 zip.
Manually updated the driver by plugging usb from printer to computer. Went into control panel > devices and printers > add a printer > add a local printer with manual settings > select port USB001 > click have disk > select .inf file
I was able to print a document in word with my windows user account. However another user, had a 100+ page word document and the print job fails after 20-30 pages printing. The error code is 016-720 and it shows the windows username on there.
As soon as it shows the error code, the printer will start another job and it will show "submitted by Guest User". The very first page it prints is "unknown at USB" with the timestamp. The following 50 pages it prints are mostly blank with 1-2 lines of random characters.
Any tips or advice on this issue? Also I don't have access to the admin account on the printer. I tried the default 1111 and the serial number and I am unable to login.
