Any side seam envelope will work. I went through hell with envelopes until we had to run machine insertable envelopes (which have a side seam). A brand name that we use is "Explorer."
Hi ml.cutler,
Thank you and I will forward your request on. I relieve that does not help you now but it might help someone in the future if they change the design in that area.
CherylO-Xerox,
For your information: The 2E area on the 2100 Versant is ribbed with impressed areas on the platen leaving the fuser. If you truly were successful at running envelopes thru the printer use would see the flap folding as if passes this area. Our machine is two months old and we found from one of your analysts that an self adhensive acetate strip where the envelope flap passes resolves that issue.
Is would be natural to refit that bootom section in 2E with a smooth area to accomodate envelope printing. We are talking about not saving that much plastic which seems to be the idea behind the design of section 2E.
Please forward this to engineering for design changes in the 2100
Thank you,
Mitchell L. Cutler
We run #10-24 Regulars and Windows (DigiMac) from Mac Papers - We could not run #9-24 successfully as it does dogear the flaps.
I looked at the recommended media list and there are NO ENVELOPE types, weights, brands, etc listed.
This has been a huge problem for us as well. We have had service in here repeatedly. We can get 10-20 envelopes through and then they jam. We've tried all available drawers, the envelope bracket that goes in the drawer, played with settings till we're blue in the face. We've tried different envelope brands. THIS IS A PROBLEM. One of the two main reasons we bought the Versant was because it could print #10 envelopes.
Hi Eddie,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please take a look at the solution for loading envelopes in your machine to make sure you are following all the steps. Also take a look at the recommended media list for suggestions on what to use. If this does not help please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
I'm using a PrintMaster #9 envelope stock that runs terrible on this printer. it's causing many jams and also folding the corner of the flap. Can someone recommend another brand of envelope that will run good. Thanks
