Re: Versant 80: Incorrect keyboard layout through press UI, uses different language that press defau

Thanks a lot Joe for your reply.

I'll update firmware to version 80.32.83 which is currently available in www.xerox.es and check the issue.

I'll try first the sequence you suggest just to isolate the problem in case it solves it.

It may take a week or so to access the machine, but will feedback as soon as I make the tests.

Thank you very much.

Best regards,

JL.

Re: Versant 80: Incorrect keyboard layout through press UI, uses different language that press defau

Have you tried updating the firmware on any model with this issue? <80.32.44 is current>

Have you tried setting it to Central Europe > Reboot > Qwerty > Reboot to see if it changes anything?

I have seen no reports on this issues if it is indeed common, it must be due to a conflict with the language, since I am in North America where this forum is based and supporting, a Central European keyboard would not work with English/French or Spanish and the firmware would never have released.

There are no SPARs listed for the V80 keyboard at all as far as I can see globally, so it's odd you appear to have this in multiple sites.

Versant 80: Incorrect keyboard layout through press UI, uses different language that press default.

Product Name: Xerox Versant 80 Press

Hi,

This is a

Xerox Versant 80 Press
            System: 80.30.71
            ESS: 1.202.1          HCF: 24.14.0
            IOT: 54.34.0           ADF: 13.22.0
            PANEL: 10.16.4     SJFI: 3.6.0
            BOOT: 1.0.36        SSMI: 1.22.2
Keyboard languaje is set as QWERTY  in tools menu at press UI.
Problem is that when trying to type anything at the press UI (custom paper name, etc) keyboard layout presented is Central Europe, with a character subset of special characters, instead of a querty w/ normal letters layout. See example:
Keyboard_Error_1st_glimpse

Customer has to fiddle about some menus to get the correct keyboard layout each time he needs to type something:

 Keyboard_Error_Lang_SelectionKeyboard_Error_Subset_SelectionKeyboard_Error_Desired_Layout

I haven't been able to find a setting in Tools menus to fix the correct keyboard languaje displayed.
I have found this problem in several machines, so I think this is not a particular machine problem (maybe an analyst related issue? :) )

Any idea?
