I changed the toner, both cyan and black, and there is no change. I cleaned the lens, and ran the motor tests, and manually spun the motors.. No change. Any other advice?
Hey,
Thanks for yoru reply. It made somewhat of a difference, but the issue is still lingering there. I also decided to just order new xerox toner. Maybe I got a bad batch of cartridges (to be hoenst, these xerox cartridges have been in the office for over a year and might have been damaged during the move). I'll try new cartridges, and cleaning the lens again, and then report back. thanks
Then follow nivek's suggestion.
Anybody have any thoughts or has anyone seen a similar issue in printing? What could the possible reasons be?
Thanks for your time people..
Hi,
So I have been trying to trouble shoot this for a while, and am having issues. On all the pages that I print, there seems to be a vertical "faded" section about 1 inch wide and runs from the top to the bottom on all the pages. It seems to be on the same side on all the pages. When I print double sided, it is present on the one inch away from the top left, and on the other side of a two sided print it is present on one inch away from top right and runs all the way down the paper.
It is not the imaging unit, as I have another printer and I switched the imaging unit and the issue was still there. My other guess could be something on the transfer belt? or maybe the cartridges? However, I just installed these toner cartirdges and I don't wanna spend money trying to replace them unless I am pretty sure. The bottom picture on the left is my "good" printer, and the one on the right is the printer that is giving me issues. Both are phaser 6500 however, the one on the right is DN and the one on the left or the good printer is just N.
