Re: WC 3215 wont print after changing wireless router

Jump to solution

Thank you.

Thre Easy Printer link worked for me.

Just to complete the answer - for other computers on the netwoekr (and psosibly that initial one too) - i needed to go into Printer Properties > Ports and then Configure the selected port, and enter the new IP address into the field (or add a new TCP/IP v4 port).

WC 3215 wont print after changing wireless router

Jump to solution
Product Name: WorkCentre 3215
Operating System: Windows 10

I just changed my router at home, to a TP Link (from Netgear), and my WC 3215 won't accept print jobs.

I understand its because the network IPs have changed  - Netgear was on the 10.0.0.0 range, whereas the TP Links is on the 192.168.0.0 range.

My question is how to change the printer's access IP? it used to be on 10.0.0.254, which of course is inaccessble.

Do i need to reinstall drivers?

I have tried searching for the printer over the "Add New Printer" option on Windows 10 - it indeed finds an odd  version of the 3215, but it seems to lose connection very quickly and become unavailanle again.

Thanks!
