WiFi direct is Android only, and Android will not ask for a code of any sort, Apple products products will ask for a code because they don't implement WiFi direct, they assume you are connecting to a Wirelesss LAN, and because WiFi Direct uses a secure channel, it wants the passcode to the Wireless. But it doesn't matter, you still won't be able to print with or without the code, Apple doesn't support it.
WPS has no relation to it in any way
I have the same problem. I want to use WiFi Direct and turned it on via the VersaLink C7025 control panel. To me this means that the C7025 can support WiFi Direct. There is no documentation with the Adapter.
The Wireless Adapter has a MAC address on the top of it and a different number on the bottom. Tried inputting the bottom number as the WPS PIN but it did not work. Is there a generic PIN that can be used?
Install it but don't pick it from the list of printers, the only reason you would get that prompt is if Windows is trying to connect via WiFi Direct.
Hello,
I am attempting to add my versalink to my laptop to print. I use add divers printer and it detects it fine, then it asks for the WPS Pin.
I've googled and tried to read through the manual and it says it should be on the printer, on a report it prints, on the paper work it came with. Alas I have hunted and can't find it anywhere. I am sure I'm probably being stupid and missed somehting really obvious but if anyone else can tell me how to find it or set it that would be great.
Thanks
Lee
