Re: Waterslide paper jam

Hello rankot,

It would be a hardware escalation you will need to call into the support center: 1-800-821-2797 or 1-800-835-6100.

Re: Waterslide paper jam

It is 67mm distance from print to "ghost" image, so it seems that the fuser is a s problem. How to fix it? Printer is not new, I don't use it often and it printed only 7.500 pages...

Re: Waterslide paper jam

I have found that the only waterslide brand that is compatible with this printer is Sunnyscopa.

Re: Waterslide paper jam

Hello rankot,

Try printing the repeated defects page instructions below, this will determine if the issue is a supply item.

  1. Print the Repeating Defects pages.
    1. At the control panel, press Menu.
    2. Navigate to Print Reports, then press OK.
    3. Navigate to the desired report, then press OK.
    4. To print the report, at the prompt, press OK.
    5. To return the printer to Ready, press Menu.
  2. To determine the cause, measure the distance between the print defects.
    • 28 mm (1.1 in.) - Drum Cartridge
    • 52 mm (2.1 in.) - Drum Cartridge
    • 94 mm (3.7 in.) - Drum Cartridge
    • 56.5 mm (2.2 in.) - Transfer Roller
    • 63 mm (2.5 in.) - Fuser
    • 67 mm (2.6 in.) - Fuser
  3. If the repeating defects match one of the Drum Cartridge distances, replace the cartridge for the affected color.
  4. If the distance matches the Fuser or Transfer Roller, call for service.
Thanks,

Re: Waterslide paper jam

It actually smears on the left side of the paper, the right half looks good (looking from the front of the printer). Could this be some problem with the fuser, or something like that?

Re: Waterslide paper jam

I have another problem with laser waterslide decal paper - it doesn't jam, but the toner doesn't stick to it. What can I do?

Re: Waterslide paper jam

Hi Bmeyer89,

Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please make sure you are using the Laser Waterslide paper not the kind for inkjet printers.  When printing choose heavyweight glossy cardstock.  Try printing from Tray 1 or the bypass tray.  Take a look at the Paper and Paper Tray Specifications for your Phaser 6510. Please read the notes on printing on glossy paper located near the bottom of the paper specification web page.  Also look at the article on minimizing paper jams.  If it still does not work you may have to try another brand of Waterslide paper but there is no guarantee that a different brand will help.

Thanks,

Waterslide paper jam

Product Name: Phaser 6510
Operating System: Windows 10

Waterslide paper jamming at almost every print attempt. Anyone have any insight on how to print using waterslide decal paper? This is quite frustrating...
