What happened to new firmware (Xerox C235 Color Multifunction Printer) which was published around after summer 2022 and was removed after a while?

Hello dj02,

I see no one has responded to this post yet. So, at this point I would recommend contacting your local Xerox Support Department to speak with a Software Specialist about the firmware. The only firmware I am aware of is what is currently on xerox.com.  Please call 1-800-821-2797.

Thanks,

I know this is a quite old thread, but I think it's kinda related. I just installed a new C235 and wanted to do a firmware upgrade. If I browse to the http menu and click "check for updates now" it tells me "no updates available. I am running on CXLBL.076.054, so there is a new one available to download. I know I could do the update manually, but I'd prefer to do it automatically. Why does the printer not find the update?

Hi gernophil, there can be a few reasons that auto update does not work.

Frist, make sure the date and time are correct on the device. An incorrect date and time can cause all sorts of odd issues with a device or conneting systems.

Second, I'm told the device has to be communicating to Xerox to be able to download new firmware.

Thrid, if the device has an engineering release of software, the device won't update on it's own as the customer may be on an engineering release for a reason.
