It is a problem with C/K laser or with the flat cables between laser and MCU PWB.

My mistake, it is 45-316.

Video Line K Fail. Non-lit Beam occurrence due to K VideoLine failure between VECKY and LDD is detected.

My bet is a tech will be required, but gabiene is one (I think?) and will probably tell you if you can do it.

It is strange! So, call for service. It is possible to be a fan, or an defective motor, maybe it help a initialization of NVM, or...

Sounds crazy but on the lower left side of the monitor it comes up 043-316 just before it reves up to print a copy. The monitor says- restart the machine and if that doesn't work call for service. I last called and they said that code is not on a 700i. BUT IT IS!

Are you certain that is the fault?

Everything I have goes from 042-XXX straight to 045-XXX, there is no 043 or 044 codes listed.
