GPD is used synonymously with Global Print Driver, it is just a shorter way to say Global Print Driver.

What is the difference between Xerox Global Print Driver PCL6 and Xerox GPD PCL6?

Product Name: AltaLink C8030 / C8035 / C8045 / C8055 / C8070 Color Multifunction Printer
Operating System: Windows Server 2016 x64

Hello, I recently downloaded the driver UNIV_5.860.1.0_PCL6_x64.zip.

There are two PCL6s, Xerox Global Print Driver PCL6 and Xerox GPD PCL6. My questions are:

1. Are they the same driver but different name?

2. If so, are they interchangeable? meaning if I change from one to the other, there will be no negative affects to end users.
