What's better: saving mode at night or shutting down completely?

Clear the lines, Solid ink gets melted and fed through the linesfor print, of course when you shut it off, the now liguid ink will cool and be solid ink again, since it cannot be heated in those lines it needs to be expelled before cooling, which is part of the reason you have a Waste Container,

So shutting down is not really best practise, but if you are concerned about power usage, shutting down during vacations and weekends (assuming Mon-Fri work week) isn't terrible.

The main benefit of Solid Ink is for the environment.

Thanks for your reply. What do you mean by 'clear the lines'? And by cheaper weekend-modus by shutting it down, do you mean powerwise or the waxcube-life?

Leave it on, the cleaning cycle will clear the lines on shutdown, in the end, during the week, you will save more with it in energy saver mode , Weekends would shift more to the "cheaper to power down" way.

I bought a Xerox Colorqube 8580 a month ago and installed it at my office. When I stop working at night, I shut it down completely. I don't mind the ten minutes warming up time in the morning. But I'm curious whether in the long term it uses more ink than if I would just let it rest in saving mode. I've read that the saving mode still uses a lot of power. And probably the waxcubes will be gone sooner when it keeps heated all the time. What's the best thing to do?
