Re: Which current printer is most similar to the former Xerox 6280DN?

One other issue I have discovered is that the C315 cannot even print Dupkex on card stock whereas the 6280 could do it without issue. GRRR.

Which current printer is most similar to the former Xerox 6280DN?

Product Name: Xerox C315 Color MultiFuntion Printer
Operating System: Apple iOS

Hi all,

I very recently purchased a Xerox C315 laser printer to replace my former 6280DN and am really disappointed in the very limited print options available regarding print quality, color adjustments, etc. that are available for this printer from the print dialog window. With my 6280DN printer there were all sorts of print options available, especially when it came to managing and adjusting print color and quality. Just ONE example I can think of off the top of my head is that I could choose to print lighter/darker (several levels to choose from). There were just so many wonderful options available for adjustment that I was always able to end up with a satisfactory color print, especially when adjusting for photo prints.

In comparison I hardly have any options available with the C315 and am so disappointed in the color quality. Even the ink on the page looks different. Somehow prints from the 6280 seemed to be so much more beautiful, as if the toner ink coated the paper with a beautiful very subtle gloss.

The color from the C315 looks so flat in comparison, definitely not as vivid and bright as the 6280, The reds don't even look bright red but more orange-ish. The color is so completely off from what I see onscreen. On the 6280 I was able to get prints to almost perfectly match what I saw onscreen, on my color calibrated system.I deal mainly with CMYK and the 6280 did an amazing job with that whereas the C315 is struggling.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

PS I chose the mutifunction C315 instead of the C310 (which was considered by some to be an 'upgrade' to the 6280DN) because I wanted the additional scan features that are available.
