I have a workcentre pro 128 - which still has a lot of life left in it.....
But MS decided to upgrade my machine to Windows 10 - and now the printer wont work.
I have found drivers that will allow me to print in A4 - but I need A3.
Any thoughts on which driver may work for me?
ATM I am using USB - but need to upgrade to Ethernet.
Many thanks
Andy
Solved! Go to Solution.
Windows 10 has no issues running with Vista or Win 7 drivers. Just choose one and install with the usual method
Thanks Joe,
That is what I thought..... and on every other machine I have 'upgraded' all drivers have worked fine.
But not this time....
I'm getting very confused about which is the best driver to use. There are Postscript and PCL....
I have tried many - including some more modern ones that Win10 seems to have 'preloaded'
Although some work at A4 - none will work at A3.
I need to make this print to A3.and preferably work over a LAN - although USB would sorta be OK
Would you be able to suggest the best driver to try?
Many thanks
Andy
If it simply keeps asking for the driver and not failing, it is an issue with Signature verification.
In that case, just disable it, install the driver per the usual, re-enable driver signing and all should be well.
Hi Joe,
No, I can install a driver OK - but the question is which one?
Do I choose a PCL or Postscript driver - or one that isn't?
All the drivers I have installed only allow print on A4 paper - and the machine caters for A3, which is what I need....
Any other suggestions?
Andy
You should not be prompted for PCL or PS, not sure what you are looking at.
I installed the driver and get this:
Does this mean Win 10 can run the Pull Print Driver on something such as a WIn 10 Surface ?
Win 10 Surface Pro is just Windows so it can run anything Windows can.
It was Windows RT (based on ARM architecture) that couldn't.
In short, the device doesn't matter, only the OS does.
