Won’t print

Product Name: Phaser 3635 MFP
Operating System: Windows 10
It won’t print . It says error on computer . Does it have to be be a software upgrade? Before it stops printing It says replaced cartridge but still prints. Now it stops printing as it says replaced cartridge. But when I turn it on , it still prints the configuration report . From the computer it won’t print. Is it really the cartridge or software upgrade ?

Hi,

Most of the issues with non printing jobs and „Offline” messages are from driver settings.

 First check to see if  there is no job in the print queue (delete any job if exist).

 Check the port to be on TCP/IP and not WSD. MS convert the port to WSD. If it is so, click right on the print driver and click on „Printer Properties”, click on „Ports” tab, click on „Add port”, select „Standard TCP/IP port” , click on „New port” and set an IP and in the next window click „Finish”.

After that click again on ''Ports'' tab click on "Configure port" and change from  RAW to LPR, at the Queue name write "lp" and be sure to unchecked "LPR Byte Counting Enable" and "SNMP Status Enabled".

Hi Gabi! I tried what you said. But still won’t print. It will print the configuration report only when u turn on the printer. So it means there’s still lots of ink on the cartridge. I tried both online and offline printing. I even tried 3 computers to download the drivers and still won’t print. U think it could be the cartridge has not enough ink that’s why it’s not printing? Any suggestions? Thanks

Also when I go to drivers through xerox site, it’s says it needs SHA2 certificate. Is it really necessary to make my printer work? Thanks

Hi,

It is not from print cartridge while the machine print the configuration report. Try to update machine firmware
