Work Centre 6505 printing purple instead of colorless gray

The issue has been resolved. The server's generic printer driver was overriding the local driver because of the incorrect printer selection method in the printer install wizard.

I have tried installing the driver locally but with no effect. The issue is not limited to my applications or workstation. The same applies to all in the office who use the printer. Is there not a shared driver solution?

You are connected to a shared driver so InDesign can't access the PPD.

Install the driver local and you should get the option back.

I'm running Windows 10 Pro and Adobe Creative Cloud 2017.0 Release (InDesign 12.0.0.81 x64 Build).

Can you supply a Screenshot please of your Adobe InDesign windows color management section that doesn't have an option to disable Let Indesign Determine Colors ?

I've not seen that with a PS driver in 15 years, Supply the OS version and Adobe version as well, print driver doesn't matter since it plays no part in the application window anyway.

I am using the Work Centre 6505 DN and printing from Adobe InDesign. A grayscale gradient is printing incorrectly as a purple gradient. Currently, the only way I can get a true grayscale gradient output is to select Black and White in the Printer Setup for the entire document.

I have tried the PCL6 as well as the PS drivers. Neither driver allows me to select an option in my program's print settings to let the printer handle Color Management.

The printer's Color Registration has been optimized.

The Color Balance has been reset (image unit) through the printer's admin maintenance menu.
