Im printing in usb fat format and have this error 016-795 with pdf, only pdf beacuse i using jpg RGB and normally print but with pdf dsnt work =(
Any can help me please!!!
Fault Code 016-795: File Format Error. Printer Job Failure Message (From Fabios post)
It means the file type is not supported by the printer natively and it can't be printed. You can easily print from a PC the same file because the driver converts the job to PS or PCL code, any file can be printed in such a manner, but the printer itself has no idea what to do with a file that is not a pdf,tif or jpg (My first post above)
pdf can of course still fail, it may be protected, you would need to check from a PC/Mac if that was the case.
Tif and Jpg could also still fail, take a different format image (say a BMP) and rename the extension JPG.
Windows/Mac and Linux can all still likely open the file because the header tells it to handle it as a BMP anyway, The printer doesn't support BMP and won't print it.
...Obviously he is saying that he put in the USB DRIVE, and green button is the "start print" button.
Can you please answer on the subject, explainig what the error 016-795 means?
I tried the USB printing, but he did not let me print, even with a correct lecture of the file (title etc).
If I send the print job (same file!!!) with the computer, it works.
It's been a year since this post was active, are you actively working an issue on phjkim's device or are you attempting to get help on an entirely different device with a similar issue?
While using "Print From USB Memory" option on the WorkStation6015N I recieve the 016-795 Printer Job Failure Press [Ok] Button. The file I am printing is a .pdf file.
As stated on the Xeros support website and backed by Joe053204-xrx WorkCentre 6015N only supports jpg, tiff and pdf.
This issue is unresolved.
What do you mean by USB Driver and Green button?
The driver has no green button, and the error code indicates you are sending a job with a file format the printer cannot read (Not a print ready format)
Which would make much more sense, especially when using a Green button if you were sticking a USB key in the printer itself and initiating the print by pushing the green button on the printer (start) and not using a PC with a driver at all. This only supports jpg, tiff and pdf. It is possible it does not understand the file type.
hmz, the only thing in can find is : http://www.support.xerox.com/support/WC6015/support/en_US.html?objGUID=20861
can you maybe test another driver? pcl or ps ?
I tried printing with a USB driver, but when I press the green button to start, it says Printer job failure 016-795. What should I do?
